SI 2020 Tournament Agreement

Santa Clara Sporting Club is preparing for the 17th annual Sporting Invitational Boys only tournament August 7th - 9th, and is cordially inviting all teams at Premier Level for the high competition event.
This year the tournament features the Powerade FC experience on field where the hydration takes place to optimize performance while playing on the pitch.

Age Groups ( Calendar Year )

  • U8 (2013) will play 7v7 Heading Rules Apply
  • U9 ( 2012 ) will play 7v7 Heading Rules Apply
  • U10 ( 2011 ) will play 7v7 Heading Rules Apply
  • U11 ( 2010 ) will play 9v9 Heading Rules Apply
  • U12 ( 2009 ) will play 9v9 Heading Rules Apply
  • U13 ( 2008 ) will play 11v11
  • U14 ( 2007 ) will play 11v11
  • U15 ( 2006 ) will play 11v11
  • U16 ( 2005 ) will play 11v11
  • U17 ( 2004 ) will play 11v11
  • U18 ( 2003 ) will play 11v11
  • U19 ( 2002 ) will play 11v11

Registration Fees

  • U8-U10 $495 registration fee
  • U11-U12 $595 registration fee
  • U13-U14 $795 registration fee
  • U15-U19 $1095 registration fee

Tournament Sanction by: US Club Soccer



This tournament is unrestricted. Teams registered in good standing with any U.S. Soccer Federation affiliate are eligible to apply.
 

  • 2020 Fields Fremont Sport Complex/Lake Elizabeth, Santa Clara Reed and Grant Soccer Park, Santa Clara Youth Soccer Park. Please note that all locations are subject to change.
  • 2020 Tournament Check-In ( Online through GOTSOCCER )
  • 2020 US Club Soccer Approved Tournament Hosting Application
  • Tournament Hotels ( Stay-N-Play ) - ALL travel teams must book in an official hotel to receive tournament acceptance.

Withdrawal
Teams withdrawing after acceptance will forfeit their entry fees. Any team withdrawing must done in writing and postmarked no later than July 7, 2020.

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed and accepted or rejected based on pre-established criteria. The objective will be to provide evenly matched competition. Only properly sanctioned and complete applications will be considered for acceptance.

Notifications
Notification of acceptance or rejection will be communicated to applicants no later than July 1, 2019.

Mandatory Tournament Check-In ( Online through GOTSOCCER
1) All rosters must be updated by 5:00 PM Wednesday August 5th, 2020.

2) All players that are playing in the tournament must be on GOTSOCCER Roster.

3) Player passes must be current not expired. ( US CLUB passes expire July 31st )

4) Required documents for check in:
    (a) Copy of official roster ( USYS, US CLUB roster, State Association roster ex: CALNORTH / CALSOUTH / WASHINGTON / UTAH )
    (b) Agreement Sheet DOWNLOAD HERE (Make sure to download first for forms to work)
    (c) Signed official GOTSOCCER roster )
    (d) Guest Player Loan Form
    (e) Signed Medical Waiver


Player Documentation
All players must have a current player pass or equivalent national association and medical release. All teams that are not US Club Soccer members will need to submit travel papers to their local State Association. Player Passes, Roster and Coaches passes must be the 2020-2021 Season Credentials. Members of US Club Soccer do not have to obtain travel papers Tournament Fields.

Important: The tournament starts on Friday morning as early as 8:00AM and all teams will be scheduled to play their first 2 games on Friday.

All players need to register their profile for college coaches attending the event.

Sporting Invitational Hotel Partners
The Sporting Invitational is a Stay-N-Play Tournament. Santa Clara Sporting has partnered with Traveling Teams Accomodations for this tournament. Teams using hotel rooms are required to obtain them from the approved hotels Please click on the link to block you team’s rooms. Hotel confirmation will be required before acceptance into the Santa Clara Sporting Invitational becomes final.
