2007-08 Girls Teams Class 1

Class 1 Soccer, also known as Select soccer, is for players that have developed a high level of skill and want to compete at the highest level. Tryouts are held to select the players and players compete for starting positions, there is no minimum play time. There can be a significant amount of travel, as Class 1 teams compete throughout the whole year.

Teams compete in the local CYSA Abronzino League and the NorCal Premier League. Class 1 teams regularly compete in tournaments and may travel as far as Southern California and even out of state. Class 1 players have a high level of dedication and commitment to their teams and training, practice three of four days a week in not unusual. Due to the travel and tournaments, playing on a Class 1 team can be expensive but some teams have sponsors and fundraising activities to support the costs.

Sporting Girls ‘98 Team (Class 1 U10 in Fall 2008 ) Holding Tryouts

Sporting 98G is looking for experienced players born after 07/31/98 as they prepare to become a U10 Class 1 Fall-2008 team with licensed coaches. Club goalies can receive free keeper training with a licensed trainer.  Tryouts for filling available roster spots are currently scheduled but subject to change due to weather and field availability. Please come to two of our three tryouts at Curtis Field with a ball (each 1.5 hours long): 12:30pm 01/19, 12:30pm 01/20, and 12:30pm 01/26 (backup is 12:30pm 01/27). SC Sporting '97 White Girls Class 1 Team (Class 1 U11 in Fall 2008)
Sporting 97G White, one of two girls' under 10 Class 1 teams out of Santa Clara Sporting Soccer Club, will be holding an open tryout session on Saturday, May 17 th 2008 from 2:00–3:30pm at Jenny Strand Park in Santa Clara . SC Sporting Girls ‘95 Soccer Team (Class 1 U13 in Fall 2008)
Team finished 3rd at 2007 District Cup and are a powerhouse team in Northern California. They are having open tryouts at their weekly practices at the Soccer Park from 5pm-7pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. The team is looking for players in all positions. Girls Teams Class 3

Class 3 soccer, also known as competitive, or comp, is for players who have a high level of interest in advancing their soccer skills. Tryouts are held to select players, and players on U9-U10 teams must play a minimum 50% of each game.

Teams compete in the local CYSA Delgado League and the NorCal Premier League. Teams that compete in the CYSA Delgado League travel and compete in the Bay Area. Teams competing in the NorCal Premier League can travel as far as Sonoma County , Sacramento and the Fresno. Class 3 teams also compete in tournaments in Northern California.

Santa Clara Sporting Girls U11 Class 3 Team
The team is holding tryouts for players (Birth dates from 8/1/1996 to 7/31/1997) interested in advancing their soccer skills. Class 3 soccer is an introduction to competitive soccer.
