The Santa Clara Sporting '95 Boys Green Team wrote another chapter in a very successful 2010 season by winning the 2010 Far West Regional Fall League U15 Boys Division last weekend (Nov 20th-21st) in Temecula.  The victory gives the team an automatic berth to compete in the 2011 Far West Regional Tournament held next June in Idaho.  Teams can qualify to compete at the Far West Regional Tournament each year by either winning the Far West Regional Fall or Spring Leagues, or by winning their State Cup Tournament.  The Sporting '95 Boys Green Team also won the 2010 CYSA State Cup and NorCal State Cup Championships this year, so they are making a name for themselves as one of the elite teams in the Nation, and continue to put Santa Clara Sporting on the map as one of the best soccer clubs in the US.

The '95's started competing in the Far West Regional Fall League in the middle of August, and this weekend, the team reached the "Final Four", in Temecula, against three teams from Southern California. On Saturday, they won their first game against San Diego Surf Acacdemy 1-0, on a goal from Guillermo Burger. Their second game was a 0-0 tie against Arsenal FC, played in very difficult rainy and muddy conditions. On Sunday, they played against Laguna Niguel, and easily won 4-1, with goals from Chistian Aldama, Brad Bumgarner, Tony Tejeda, and Guillermo Burger.

The victory will probably catapult the team to the top of the GotSoccer Rankings as the #1 Team in the United States in the U15 Boys Age Group.

Congratulations to the players, coaches and parents!
