Support SCYSL Top Soccer & Give Back to Soccer

This Fall 2009, will be the third season of running the TOP Soccer division in SCYSL. TOP Soccer is organized and coached by volunteers in our league and the surrounding community. The TOP Soccer Division provides an opportunity for children with disabilities to get outside and exercise in a fun competitive environment.

It has been an enjoyable experience for both the players and their families. The players come to the field to see their friends, have a good time and they get exercise at the same time. Our local junior high school and high school students also have fun helping out with TOP Soccer, and high school students can earn volunteer hours. Santa Clara University Soccer is booking teams for Ball Kid Assignments & for halftime mini-games for their 2009 home games held at Buck Shaw Stadium, on the SCU Campus.  SCYSL teams have the opportunity to serve as "Ball kids" and watch the game on the sideline, shag balls that are kicked off the field, and also get to play a fun half-time mini-game in the stadium. It’s a real thrill to watch the game from the sideline and play on the field in front of all the soccer fans!

Volunteer & Support the FC Gold Pride Charities

Gold Pride Charities - Game Day Mentorship Experience

Here’s a great opportunity for high-school age soccer players to get involved with kids and support our community! The Gold Pride Charities (GPC) is a non-profit organization committed to mentoring young girls to become confident young women through participation in soccer-related events. By providing girls the opportunity to develop relationships with high school, college and professional female athletes, GPC provides girls from low- income neighborhoods an opportunity to connect with role models who can demonstrate to them what they can achieve through teamwork, practice, dedication and an eye towards a goal – on the field or in life. Please visit their website at www.thegoldpridecharities.org or check-out their Facebook page.
