Santa Clara Sporting Raised $17,282 in 2010 for Goals for a Cure - $55k in 3 Years!
Sporting'98B Black Team Lead the Fundraising with $2,054

The Santa Clara Sporting 98 Boys Black Team led the charge this year and raised $2,054 during the month of October during the annual 2010 Goals for a Cure Campaign. Twenty of the Sporting Teams worked to raise money, and the club raised a total of $17,282 in 2010. Santa Clara Sporting has now raised more than $55,000 between 2008-2010 to fight breast cancer!

Sporting '99B Green are 2010-11 NorCal State Cup Finalists

Congratulations to the Santa Clara Sporting ’99 Boys Green Team for placing 2nd place in NorCal State Cup among a field of over 100 teams. The boys earned a trip to the finals by beating Mustang Arsenal 3-0 in their Quarter-final match. Then in the Semi-final, the team played an intense game against Cal Odyssey, winning 5-3. The team faced San Juan Lightning in the Finals. Santa Clara played a tough game but was not able to walk away with the victory. Maybe next year! Congratulations to the players, coaches, and parents.

El Camino Hospital Receives $18,000 Check from 2010 Goals for a Cure Fundraising Efforts

On Friday night at 7pm, the Santa Clara Sporting Club donated $18,000 to the El Camino Hospital from the 2010 Goals for a Cure fundraising efforts.  Executive Director Michele van Zuiden from the El Camino Women’s Hospital, and Lea Morgan, Development Director from the El Camino Hospital Foundation receieved the donation from Abel Azevdo, a Santa Clara Sporting Board of Director.

Sporting '95, '94 & '93 Teams to Compete in State Cup Finals

Three Santa Clara Sporting Teams have progressed all the way through the U14-U18 CYSA State Cup Tournament and will now play for the 2010-11 State Cup Championship this coming Saturday, April 16th in Elk Grove. Sporting 95 & 93 Repeat as CYSA State Cup Champions

Congratultaions to the Santa Clara Sporting 95 (U15) and Sporting 93 (U17) Team for winning the 2010-11 CYSA Cal-North State Cup Championship on April 16th. The Sporting ’95s won their third consecutive State Cup with a 2-0 win over the Diablo FC 95 Team, and the Sporting 93’s won their fourth consecutive with a 1-0 victory over the DeAnza Force Blue 93 Team. Both teams qualify for the FarWest Regional Tournament in Boise, Idaho in June.
