Sporting 95 & 93 Repeat as CYSA State Cup Champions
Congratultaions to the Santa Clara Sporting 95 (U15) and Sporting 93 (U17) Team for winning the 2010-11 CYSA Cal-North State Cup Championship on April 16th. The Sporting ’95s won their third consecutive State Cup with a 2-0 win over the Diablo FC 95 Team, and the Sporting 93’s won their fourth consecutive with a 1-0 victory over the DeAnza Force Blue 93 Team. Both teams qualify for the FarWest Regional Tournament in Boise, Idaho in June.

Sporting 98/97/93 Girls Teams Win US Club Regionals & Qualify for Nationals
The Santa Clara Sporting ’98 Green , ’97 Green, and ’93 girls teams all won the 2011 US Club Regional Tournament held last weekend in Modesto and earned a berth to compete in the US Club Soccer National Championship held July 29th-August 1st in Boise, Idaho. Santa Clara Sporting led the pack of teams in Modesto and won the most Regional Championship titles in Modesto.

Congratulations to the Santa Clara Sporting ’97 Girls White team for winning the 2011 California Cup tournament in Sacramento on June 26, 2011. During a grueling schedule of five games over three days in hot temperatures, the girls took down Gotsoccer’s California North ranked #4, #6, and #10 teams on their way to their first Cal Cup title. In the GU14 Championship match, Sporting 97G White outlasted Manteca Pride in penalty kicks, closing out an exciting weekend for the team, coaches, and parents !
Sporting '94s are Finalists at Schwan's USA Cup
The Santa Clara Sporting ’94s ended the 2011 Schwan’s USA Cup as Finalists after taking their one loss of the tournament to the Albion SC White Team from San Diego who are the USYSA U15 Boys US National Champion Finalist. The USA Cup was an exhausting weekend of: building shaking thunder, lightning, pouring rain, dorm food, endless bus rides, then extereme hot humid heat today, and some pretty tough compeition.
