This weekend the Sporting ’93 Boys Team were in Irvine, CA for the tough NHB Cup tournament.  The boys won their first game vs. the PUMAS Team from Nevada with a score of 4-2.  They tied their second game against Knotts Forest 0-0.  On Sunday, morning they played a Southern California heavy favorite South Bay Force Team.  Sporting beat South Bay with an amazing score of 7-0.  In the afternoon’s Quarter-Final match, the team face a familiar rival - the Central CA Aztecs.  Sporting played most of the game with only 10 players after a red card was issued in the first half.  The game ended in a tie of 1-1 and went directly into a penalty shootout.  The Sporting ’93 Boys unfortunately lost in penalties to Central CA Aztecs, but definitely made their presence known at NHB Cup this past weekend.
