Santa Clara Sporting Club and Matteo Studios launched Goals-for-a-Cure during the month of October 2008, to raise awareness and money to fight breast cancer. All Santa Clara Sporting Teams participate in a Goal-A-Thon Fundraiser during the month of October, and the club raised over $95,000 to fight breast cancer between 2008-2011. The funds raised were used to support women who need financial assistance to get a breast screen exam at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View.
