Sporting '97G White Team Raise $1,000 During Juggle-a-Thon
On October 22nd, the Sporting White 97 U12 girl’s team held their first “Juggle-A-Thon." Each girl recorded their personal juggling goal that they wanted to attain. Friends, neighbors, and family members sponsored each girl with a price per juggle or a flat rate.
Sporting Raises $20,000 in 2009 Goals for a Cure Campaign
The Santa Clara Sporting Club is proud to announce that the club raised $20,000 last October during their 2009 Goals-for-a-Cure Campaign. Special recognition goes out to the Santa Clara Sporting ’93 Girls White Team led by Jim Goularte and Cynthia Bates-Brown which raised $3,516 to fight breast cancer.
Goals for a Cure Donation Ceremony
The Santa Clara Sporting Club donated $20,000 tonight to the El Camino Hospital Foundation to provide free mammograms to women who need financial support to receive breast screening exams. Lindsay Greensweig, Interim President of the El Camino Hospital Foundation attended the event to receive the check from Santa Clara Sporting.

Sporting'98B Black Team Lead the Fundraising with $2,054
The Santa Clara Sporting 98 Boys Black Team led the charge this year and raised $2,054 during the month of October during the annual 2010 Goals for a Cure Campaign. Twenty of the Sporting Teams worked to raise money, and the club raised a total of $17,282 in 2010. Santa Clara Sporting has now raised more than $55,000 between 2008-2010 to fight breast cancer!
El Camino Hospital Receives $18,000 Check from 2010 Goals for a Cure Fundraising Efforts
On Friday night at 7pm, the Santa Clara Sporting Club donated $18,000 to the El Camino Hospital from the 2010 Goals for a Cure fundraising efforts. Executive Director Michele van Zuiden from the El Camino Women’s Hospital, and Lea Morgan, Development Director from the El Camino Hospital Foundation receieved the donation from Abel Azevdo, a Santa Clara Sporting Board of Director.

GET YOUR PINK ON! with the Sporting 00B Green Team
On Saturday, October 8th, Sporting 00B Green will have a Goals for a Cure hair booth open from 9 AM to 1 PM, located at Curtis Field. For a $5 donation, you can have pink hair tinsel braided into your hair (2 strands maximum), temporary pink and/or purple hair color sprayed on your hair and a temporary pink paisley breast cancer awareness tattoo applied on your arm. All proceeds will go to Goals for a Cure.

Santa Clara Sporting ’00B Green is selling raffle tickets to raffle off one basket full of goodies on October 30, 2011. Winner need not be present. The tickets are $5 each. Check out the flyer of what’s in the basket. We are continuing to add items to the basket so check for updates often.
